Always aiming to be efficient with my time and money is a big reason why I started looking at alternative ways to get ahead in life. This was in the form of GIC’s as a kid…until I learned that the rate of inflation is often higher than the amount I could get from a standard GIC. I became interested in stocks in my early-mid 20s and found some success but nothing that could result in an early retirement – never mind financial freedom. A Little Back Story
It took me a long time to know what I wanted to do with my life. I never had that dream career. When I finished high school, I had the grades to go into almost any program of my choice. I chose to go into education at the University of Alberta as I enjoy helping others become a better version of themselves. I soon discovered that I love teaching others…but only if they wanted to learn.
So, after my first year at university, I worked at a call center for a year to make some tuition money and taught guitar part-time to appease my inner teacher. I also took part-time courses in order to switch into the business program at a different university. I’ve always had a knack for business and felt that this would be a good fit. My time at university was a great experience and I graduated with distinction in a
management major. At this point, I was in a similar situation than I was at the end of high school; I’ve succeeded in the education part of things but I wasn’t clear where to go next.
After trying out a career in banking, I was introduced to accounting. Now, I took accounting classes to acquire my business degree and wasn’t really a fan of what I was exposed to in entry level courses. I also discovered that accounting doesn’t necessarily mean working for a big firm to do taxes or auditing. Management accounting is what caught my attention…it spoke to my inner drive for efficiency – maximizing profits and providing relevant information to the owners of companies so
informed decisions can be made.
Three years of part-time schooling later I landed a great job at a local small company where I have utilized my expertise to help them grow…but that still wasn’t enough for me to be satisfied. I am still with the same company after two and half years but I’ve dedicated the vast majority of my spare time to learning how to maximize my time and money while sharing what I learn with others.
Why Do I Want To Help Others Succeed?
Remember how I started my university education wanting to be a teacher? I love helping others learn and watching them grow into a version of themselves that is better that they ever imagined…especially when they want to learn – it’s just so fulfilling. I’m not going to chase after you to see if you’ve ‘done your homework’ but I will do everything I can to set you up for success by posting relevant information and answering any questions you may have along the way. I started gathering the information for this website as research for my own investment curiosity. Then I started talking to a couple friends about how to invest in cryptocurrency and they had questions that I also wanted to know the answers to. So, I’d write down the questions, do some research and get back to my friends and family with answers.
Soon, I noticed that I was answering the same questions over and over again. I thought that I should maybe make a list of people to email with information as I do my research and then I realized that I was living in a day and age where I can create my own website to share my knowledge with the world.
The purpose of investwithcryptocurrency.com is to pass on my efficiency to you. I
will post information that takes you minutes to read but took several hours of research to learn and verify. I wish that I had a website to go to so I could learn everything I needed to know – all in one place.
